Rigaku group has been honored with Carlyle’s 2024 Sustainability Award for ‘Sustainability Fast Mover ‘. The Sustainability Fast Mover Award is given to companies that demonstrate the most improvement in their sustainability program and integration efforts in the prior year. Carlyle launched this initiative to celebrate portfolio companies’ sustainability performance in the prior year and their commitment to aligning financial and sustainability objectives. Companies were nominated by Carlyle’s global investment teams across three categories: ‘Sustainability Fast Mover’; ‘Best Sustainability Program Management’; and ‘Best Sustainable Innovation’.
Rigaku was praised for its outstanding efforts to progress on Sustainability activities including:
- Sustainability Program Expansion: Launching a dedicated Sustainability promotion committee to oversee and accelerate our sustainability initiatives
- Material Topics Identification: Defining the most material sustainability topics and ensuring our efforts are focused on areas with the greatest impact.
- CO2 Emissions Calculation: Conducting a comprehensive calculation of Rigaku group’s global CO2 emissions to establish a baseline for future improvements.
- Emissions Reduction Goals: Setting goals to reduce our CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030, reflecting our commitment to mitigating climate change.
